Jose Gutierrez Ltd is an architectural design practice based in Auckland, NZ. The overwhelming passion for architecture and design that director Jose Gutierrez has is the driving force behind the practice. Jose graduated with an honours degree in Architecture at the University of Auckland in 2000. Since then, he has spent time between the UK and NZ working with award winning London architects DMFK, and Auckland based multi-award winning Andrew Lister Architect.

Jose has gained valuable professional experience both in NZ and abroad, with award winning work in the arts, residential and commercial sectors. The key thread throughout his experience is that he always maintains an open and responsive approach to each individual brief. This means that design solutions are project-specific with more emphasis placed on the experience of the end user rather than the reinforcement of an architectural style. This is underlined by an ethos that fundamentally, architecture should be an engaging creative medium, accessible, inspiring and relevant to the people that interact with it.
