A full refurbishment of a 100-year-old villa on a compact site. Throughout the years a series of unconsidered alterations had been carried out on the villa, the brief was to rationalise the configuration of these spaces and provide a home suitable for modern day living. One of the key design objectives was to maximise natural daylight throughout the house, resulting in full-height openings linking the living areas to a private garden. With space at a premium the existing roof space was converted into a second living room that flows onto additional bedrooms.
